Bartram helps sports properties green their venues and events

Over the course of Bartram Sponsorship Strategies’ work with PG&E, one of our most important contributions has been to create a clear strategic purpose for sponsorships by bringing to life the company’s commitment to the environment through sustainability-related content and messaging.

For many sports events and venues, we have positioned PG&E as lead sustainability partner, helping sponsored properties to become greener while promoting environmentally friendly practices among their widespread fan base.

Bartram has played a key role in the following sustainable sports sponsorships:

San Francisco Giants
As lead sustainability sponsor of the Giants and AT&T Park, PG&E followed an installation of solar panels in 2007 with the development of a new green concession stand in 2009 and will lead the way in helping the Giants achieve LEED status in 2010. Bartram manages a fully integrated major sponsorship that includes extensive brand exposure and special event games.

Sacramento RiverCats
As lead green sponsor of the most successful AAA baseball organization in the country, PG&E continues to integrate sustainability messaging throughout the ballpark, events and media. PG&E is also the lead sponsor of the Rivercats’ Green Awareness Weekend. The RiverCats are widely considered to be one of the greenest minor league organizations in the country.
